MIRAVAL® RESORT & SPA ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF CAROL STRATFORD
AS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
TUCSON, AZ (JUNE 15, 2011) – The award-winning destination spa, Miraval Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Carol Stratford to Director of Marketing. In this role, Stratford will be responsible for all of the resort's marketing and brand communications efforts, including advertising and public relations.
Stratford comes to Miraval with more than 15 years of marketing, public relations, and communications experience. Before joining Miraval she spent four years as Director of Marketing for The Homestead, a historic, luxury destination spa and golf resort located in the Allegheny Mountains of Virginia. The property is very similar to Miraval, as it features private residences, all-inclusive packages and programming activities such as horseback riding, fly-fishing and hiking. The valuable knowledge and experience that Stratford gained while working for The Homestead will translate well in her new position at Miraval.

Prior to her work with The Homestead, Stratford first established herself in the realm of corporate communications while working with Six Flags, Inc. and with prestigious properties such as the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, FL and Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Georgia. Stratford received her Master’s degree in Mass Media Communications from The University of Akron in 1995 after achieving her Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications from Hiram College in 1992. Stratford currently resides in Oro Valley with her husband and son.
