Are you an amateur photographer? Do you want to become one? Miraval has teamed up with the world-renowned photographers at National Geographic to offer our guests intensive photography workshops throughout the year.
This week at Miraval, our guests had the distinct honor (and
pleasure!) of meeting Dr. Marisa Weiss. Dr Weiss is a leading breast oncologist
and the president and founder of Breastcancer.org. She shared her passion and
expertise about the topic and shared the findings of a 5 year intensive study
between her foundation and Harvard Medical School. The findings were clear and
there are steps you can take in your everyday life to lower your risk of
developing breast cancer. Dr. Marisa Weiss and her team are now sharing a
prevention message through Breastcancer.org’s Think Pink, Live Green initiative.
Here's a photo from her lecture at Miraval!
It was fitting that we hosted the lectures here at Miraval because what the Miraval team of wellness specialists teaches everyday is overwhlemingly relevant and in line with what Dr. Weiss and her team are teaching. Miraval is a great place to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle and embrace change.
Looking for a way to spice up your Super Bowl cuisine this year? Try serving one of the most requested recipes featured in our Mindful Eating Cookbook: Miraval's Blackened Beef Sirloin Tacos with Smoky Chipotle Aioli & Black Beans Charro-Style!

Dr. Jim Nicolai recently held a signing for his new book, Integrative Wellness Rules: A Simple Guide to Healthy Living, here in Tucson. Thank you to everyone who came out to Barnes and Noble on Saturday to show their support and meet the author!
Here's what Dr. Jim had to say: "Health and wellness is so powerful when it's a shared journey. Integrative Wellness Rules is
all about telling stories of what's helped me get and stay healthy. It
was fabulous to be able to do that with the Tucson community. Thanks so
much to Barnes and Noble—they did a great job—and it was an awesome
experience being able to laugh and share with people that health does
not have to be complex or difficult to manage. It can be quick and
dirty..."
