We were so excited to have Chef Rebecca Rather at Miraval this past weekend as part of our Celebrity Chef Series! Chef Rather led participants through a gourmet, five-course meal during two Cooking Demonstration Dinners (see menu). Here are some of our favorite photos of Chef Rather working with Executive Chef Justin Macy and the rest of the Miraval culinary team. Enjoy!

We are so excited to welcome Celebrity Chef Rebecca Rather at Miraval this weekend (Friday, August 2 & Saturday, August 3). A native Texan, Chef Rather makes the most of her Lone Star state’s varied traditions, whether looking to the kitchens of Texas' Mexican and German immigrants or to the cowboy culture of her own forebears. Best of all, her recipes aren't fussy—one of her best–selling cakes stirs together in a single saucepan. Add in a cupful of Texas attitude and her made–from–scratch–with–love philosophy and you've got an irresistible taste of American baking.

August 2013 Recipe of the Month

When it comes to eating healthy, sometimes the biggest obstacle we have to overcome is our craving for comfort food. For example, what's August without a backyard barbecue—and what's barbecue except an unholy trinity of fat, sugar and salt?

This recipe, featured in the August chapter of our new book Mindful Living Miraval, comes to the rescue with a full-flavored pork tenderloin that's perfect for a classic summer cookout. Served with the sinfully sweet grilled watermelon and fresh broccolini, this is a lean and flavorful way to celebrate the waning days of summer. Enjoy!
