Pilates for Equestrians

Create a deeper seat and an ideal riding partnership with your horse. How you move when you're not riding directly affects how you function on a horse. A strong core with increased flexibility will allow you to better hold your jumping form, avoid collapsing or bouncing in the saddle, better absorb your horse's movement, maintain a neutral pelvis so you can easily follow your horse's movement. This 1:1 session will increase your body awareness, improve your balance and flexibility and improve your comfort during and after your ride. You will receive a personalized copy of the exercises to be performed at home.

In this 1:1 session, we will teach you a series of pilates exercises to strengthen your core, improve hip rotation, increase the Range of Motion in your shoulders, and create more stability in your back. Pilates for Runners

For a runner, competitive or weekend jogger, posture is one of the key ingredients to success. A strong CORE is a key ingredient to good posture. Poor body mechanics cause certain muscles to become overused while others become underused; this results in a variety of ailments from lower back pain to hip bursitis, and even anterior knee pain. This 1:1 session will teach you a series of pilates exercises that will create a stronger, more flexible spine and core along with a more efficient movement pattern, resulting in less chance of injury. You will receive a personalized copy of the exercises that can be performed at home.
