Like more women than we know, Lauren Stone lost her mom and best friend, Debbie Simon, to suicide. Her mom’s presence in Lauren’s life and in this world was larger than life. Her loss is so profound that she sometimes wonders if she was literally touched by her mom as an angel on earth. In her grief, Lauren sought support from others whose lives had been impacted by the loss of a mother or loved one to suicide. Having found an initial support network, she then looked to create a more enveloping retreat to bring together fellow survivors for a dedicated period of healing and togetherness.
With the joint effort of Lauren, Miraval, and SpaFinder, the Touched by an Angel, Sisterhood of Survivors Spa Retreat, has been born both to recognize the beautiful aspects of lost loved ones and to touch each other’s lives as living angels to help one another. Coming together at a place as inspiring, healing, celebratory, fun, and connected to nature as Miraval is the perfect setting to connect, share stories, grieve, and heal both individually and together through the unique experiences created by Miraval.
An experience as unique as this has never before existed; this will be the first of its kind. More than just a gathering, the Touched by an Angel retreat will create an encircling of support set in the abundance of nature, providing grounding through spiritual and outdoor experiences.

The following activities and gatherings are suggested specifically for the participants of the Touched by an Angel weekend, and are offered in addition to the regular Miraval programming from which all guests are welcome to choose from.

Your All-Inclusive Miraval Stay Includes:

*All-inclusive rates of $539 pp/night double occupancy and $599 pp/night single occupancy are for the specified group only, for the event weekend of February 3 – 6, 2011 in a Deluxe room category. Higher rates apply for higher room categories. All stays are exclusive of tax and resort amenities fees. Rates based on availability and date restrictions may apply.
