$35 | Enjoy a trail run through the beautiful desert landscape. This group trail run is suited for beginners or experienced runners; the group will be managed so we stay together during the activity. Wear sturdy running shoes and comfortable, athletic clothing.

$15 | Start each day with a hike designed for all levels of ability. Explore meandering trails across rolling hills, with occasional brief, steeper sections, and overall gentle elevation gain of 200-300 ft. with distances of 3-5 miles. These hikes are a great introduction to the local Sonoran Desert environment. 2 hours total time.

$15 | Build on the concepts and skills taught in the mountain bike basics class with this physically challenging, 3-5 mile off-road adventure. Previous mountain biking experience is recommended. *Wear or Bring: Sturdy closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothing for riding, sunscreen and perhaps a hat. Don't forget your Miraval water bottle!

$35 | Quantum Leap lends itself to discussion about transitions and letting go. Standing on top of a pole with nothing to hold on to and then leaping into the air involves significant trust in oneself and the other group members.

$105 | Enjoy a special walk-only desert ride that combines a brief instruction with a serene experience meant to balance the body, mind and spirit. Wear long pants, hats, closed-toed, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. We recommend taking a private arena lesson prior to the trail ride. You will need to provide your height, weight, and style preference (English or Western) at time of booking.

In his ten-gallon hat and overalls Richard Starkey makes you smile. And once he opens his mouth, there’s no question he knows his stuff. Retired from 43 years on the railroad and 18 years as an appraiser, Richard hails from an Oklahoma farming family. All of Miraval’s eggs and a bulk of its produce come from Richard, who picks everything at 5 a.m. and delivers the fresh products straight to the kitchen’s back dock from his 2 ½ acre farm up the road. In early March, Richard broke ground on Miraval’s own kitchen garden, planting his latest venture and, as a result, connecting guests even further with their food. His efforts at Miraval take us all one step closer to our goal – Eat. Real. Food. Don’t miss your chance to meet Richard and spend some time with this character. While our little corner of Arizona is in fact a desert you may have noticed it is a little greener and more interesting than your average desert. In fact, this little pocket of the Sonoran desert boasts one of the highest bio-diversities of flora and fauna in North America. Join staff exercise physiologist, botany enthusiast and general desert rat Andrew Wolf for a walking tour of the Miraval property while learning about the natural beauty and amazing adaptations that the plants and animals of this wonderful place have undergone to survive.

$75 | Understanding Your Mind-Body Constitutional Type. In this fun and informative class, we explore the Ayuervedic concept of Body Types. According to Ayurveda, human beings are composed of three fundamental, mind body principles known as doshas or governing principles. They are derived from the five elements: Space, air, fire, water and earth. The three doshas, Vata, Pitta, Kapha govern all the physiological and psychological of one’s consciousness, mind and body. According to Ayurveda, each individual inherits a particular proportion of the three doshas that determine one’s unique constitutional type. Learning about your unique constitutional type helps you to understand why you have certain tendencies and characteristics and allows you to make better health choices based on your body type
