Mindful Stress Mastery

This longer-format class is a great opportunity to step back and think deeper about how we generate stress and how we can orient ourselves to stressors in new and powerful ways. While at Miraval Resort, you'll learn that there are no magic techniques, yet through the development of mindful awareness we teach you how to better regulate the body, guide the mind towards less negative patterns, and balance the emotions. This course blends lecture, discussion, and experiential elements to give guests a firm understanding of mindfulness and how to use it realistically and creatively in their daily life. Learn how the stress phenomenon operates within you and how to apply mindfulness to reduce, manage and master stress responses.

Yoga Flow: Level 2

A vigorous yoga offering, this dynamic class links breath and movement, stillness and transition, repetition and progression, to offer a practice for yoga enthusiasts, or a fit beginner. Each individual is encouraged to make an honest self-assessment and rest when needed throughout the class; however, beginners are discouraged from taking this class. Classes where we offer more detailed instruction and move a little slower such as Rise and Shine Yoga or Yoga Essentials would be a better option.

Transforming Awareness with Your Right Brain

Through simple art techniques that tap into parts of the brain and consciousness that are not available through talking alone, art therapist Rebecca Wilkinson helps you access and explore who you are in new and magical ways. You will experience a transformation in your self-perception and feel a deeper sense of acceptance and appreciation for yourself. You will gain tools to live more authentically and mindfully in the world. Absolutely no artistic experience or skill is necessary. Rebecca will help you feel at ease with art so that you can harness this powerful medium to bring awareness and change to your life.

Did you know that your balance system started to deteriorate in your mid-twenties? This is quite possibly one of the most important fitness classes at Miraval. Not a high-intensity workout, this class is focused on awareness of your balance system and the importance of stimulating it on a consistent basis to increase your reaction time and aid in fall prevention.

Ease back pain, improve your gait, and increase the circulation in your legs.  Utilizing a slo-mo ball, Pilates, and a variety of hip stretches literally walk away from this class with “happy hips!”
