AGE REQUIREMENTS

Miraval welcomes guests who are 14 years of age and older. Guests ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Click-here to review the activities available to teens.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Tucson International Airport (TUS)
Miraval provides complimentary transportation between the property and the Tucson International Airport (approximately 50 minutes). Please email transportation@miravalresorts.com or call us at 800.232.3969 to share your flight number, arrival time and airline carrier, no later than 72 hours prior to arrival. The last complimentary shuttle on day of departure departs the resort property at 2 pm. Upon arrival at Tucson airport your driver will meet you at the baggage claim carousel. Notice of delayed flights should be relayed to Miraval to ensure a complimentary shuttle can be rescheduled. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)
Miraval’s complimentary shuttles do not go to the Phoenix Airport, however our Miraval Advisor can assist you with securing transportation from this airport.

Should you rent a car and drive to Miraval, we offer complimentary Valet Parking – please be sure to communicate your expected arrival time to the property. For directions to Miraval click-here.

Private car services can be arranged as well with a starting rate of $325 each way for a town car. Please email transportation@miravalresorts.com or call us at 800.232.3969 to share your flight number, arrival time and airline carrier. Payment is made directly to the driver and they accept MC, VISA and AMEX. A uniformed driver from Driver Provider will meet you at their baggage claim holding a sign with your name on it. Note the expected travel time from the Phoenix Airport takes approximately two hours and we recommend leaving 3 hours before your flight time to ensure you arrive to the airport at least 1 hour before your flight.

Your Miraval Advisor can also assist with securing a reservation on the Arizona Shuttle which runs from the Phoenix Airport into Tucson every day, every hour on the half hour. The cost is $39 each way, per person. Shuttle loading stations are available at every terminal in the Phoenix airport and they drop off at the Ina Road location in Tucson (1st stop), where a Miraval driver can be scheduled to pick you and bring you to the property. Payment is required at the time of booking, so please provide your credit card information to your Miraval Advisor and they can arrange the service for you based on your flight details.

Private Aircraft
Guests traveling by private plane often fly into the Marana Regional Airport (AVQ) or the Tucson International Airport. To arrange transportation to and from the airport of your choosing, please inform your Miraval Advisor of the FBO name, the tail number of the plane and landing time by email transportation@miravalresorts.com or call 800.232.3969 at least 72 hours in advance of arrival.

ARRIVAL

Check-in time is 3 pm but guests may arrive on property as early as 11 am. Lunch is included and opens at 11:30 am; breakfast is not. Upon check-in, you will be given an extensive orientation to the property. Please plan for an additional 40 minutes upon check-in. Due to airport delays we highly recommend that you do not schedule any treatments or consults within the first four hours of your flight’s arrival time. The full appointment cost will be charged to your bill if you change or cancel within 4 hours of the appointment start time.

Opening instruction and information is critical to the class experience. If you are unable to arrive on time, we ask that you consider another offering.

BOOKING COMPLIMENTARY ACTIVITIES

Each day, we select a healthy variety of programming from our extensive list of experiences so you should come prepared to be pleasantly surprised. Some of these activities require signup ahead of time due to limited space but many classes and programs are complimentary and open to anyone who wants to participate. When reviewing the Monthly Experience Guide, you will note that some programs are shaded in the schedule. The shaded experiences listed on the daily schedule are the ones that require signup. Once you arrive on property, the classes that require signup are posted on the Palm Court bulletin board.

If you see a complimentary activity that you would like to attend, but it’s not on the day or time that works for you, you’ll find that most of our offerings can easily be made into a private session or private group at an additional cost. On a waitlist?: We strongly encourage you to show up to complimentary classes when your name is on the wait list. Space may become available for you to participate in the class.

Signed up, but changed your mind?: If you have signed up for a complimentary experience and you choose not to attend, please erase your name from the card so that someone else may participate.

BOOKING PAY-FOR ACTIVITIES

Although the majority of our activities and classes are included in your overnight package, there are some classes/workshops that require an extra fee. Your nightly resort credit can be used toward many of these activities. Activities with an RC symbol next to the price indicate that your nightly resort credit may be used toward that experience. All fee-based experiences may be booked prior to arrival by calling 800.232.3969 or during your stay with Guest Services.

Change and Cancellation Policy: For experiences with a fee associated, 100% of the experience fee will be charged to your bill if you change or cancel within 4 hours of the start time. NOTE: For Just Cook for Me Chef!, all Miraval Off-Property Hikes and Climb On! Mt. Lemmon Rock Climbing, you must cancel or change your reservation more than 24 hours in advance of the start time to avoid being charged 100% of the experience fee.

BOOKING PRIVATE SESSIONS

Our Miraval Specialists are available for one-on-one consultations to address your goals, needs, and desires. Our guests tell us that the staff and specialists are the heart of Miraval - and we tend to agree. You may use your nightly resort credit toward many Private Sessions. Private Sessions with an RC symbol next to the price indicate that your nightly resort credit may be used toward that experience. All private sessions may be booked prior to your arrival by calling 800.232.3969, or during your stay with Guest Services. For all private sessions, 100% of the service fee will be charged to your bill if you change or cancel within 4 hours of the start time.

Follow-Up Phone Consultations: Phone consolations are available as a follow-up to a private session that you may have booked with our Nutritionist or Integrative Wellness Center. These sessions are intended to help you succeed with your strategies to live a more healthful life when you return home, based on the information compiled during your private session. BOOKING SPA SERVICES

For maximum availability, we recommend booking your spa services at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival. A Miraval Advisor will help you schedule services by phone once you have determined what you are interested in experiencing during your stay. In-room service is available for many treatments. All spa services may be booked prior to your arrival by calling 800.232.3969, or during your stay with Guest Services. For all spa services, 100% of the service fee will be charged to your bill if you change or cancel within 4 hours of the start time.

Arrival Time: Please arrive at the Spa at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled service. This will allow you time to check in, shower, change into Spa attire, and relax before your therapist greets you. Please note that services for late arrivals will end at the scheduled time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

When confirming your reservation you will be required to make a two-night deposit. Miraval offers full refunds if cancellation is received at least 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Any cancellation occurring 7 days or fewer prior to arrival, the deposit is forfeited. Special events, workshops and groups may have different cancellation policies.

Experiences and spa services with a fee associated, 100% of the experience fee will be charged to your bill if you change or cancel within 4 hours of the start time. NOTE: For Just Cook for Me Chef!, all Miraval Off-Property Hikes and Climb On! Mt. CELL PHONES USAGE

In order to maintain the peaceful environment of Miraval, we ask that you limit your cell phone usage to the privacy of your guest room and the courtyard outside of Raindance Pass Boutique. Please keep all mobile devices on “silent” and be mindful of others when using them.

COURIER & CAR SERVICES

Located three miles from the resort is a shopping complex with a grocer and a pharmacy. We can assist you with procurement and/or transportation needs. Private car arrangements may also be arranged for an additional fee, please call 800.232.3969 to make a reservation.

DEPARTURE

Check-out time is 11 am and we would be glad to store your bags should you wish to remain on property until 2 pm. Lunch is included on the day of departure with meal service starting at 11:30 am; dinner is not. Departure vans leave on the hour and you will be scheduled to depart Miraval two hours before your flight time. The afternoon prior to your departure date you will receive a detailed voice mail with your departure and baggage pick up times. The last complimentary shuttle back to the Tucson International Airport of the day departs at 2:00 pm. Travel to the airport takes approximately 50 minutes. Please email transportation@miravalresorts.com or call 800.232.3969 to share your flight number, departure time and airline carrier. Private car arrangements may be arranged as well for an additional fee.

Late check-out is based on availability and may be requested by calling Guest Services. Bags may be left with Guest Services at any time. Feel free to use the Spa locker room facilities if you would like to shower and change before departing the property. Please note that a late check-out service may be subject to additional transportation feed to the airport if shuttle service is not currently scheduled.

HYDRATION

The climate of the Sonoran Desert can quickly dehydrate those not accustomed to the environment. Staying hydrated will help you acclimate to the desert environment. Please bring your reusable Miraval water bottle provided at check-in to all classes and activities. Water stations are located throughout the resort and complimentary bottled water is located within your guest room.

LAUNDRY SERVICES

Wash and fold service is available daily from 8 am to 5 pm with same day service provided for an additional fee. Laundry bags and slips are located in your guest room closet.

PETS

Service animals are the only pets allowed on property. Please inform your Miraval Advisor or Guest Services prior to your arrival.

This guide will offer you detailed information about spa services and private sessions that we offer. You will also find a daily schedule of classes and activities inside the guide, as well as bios for our Miraval specialists. A hard copy of the current monthly Experience Guide will be given to you upon arrival as well.

MyMiraval Experience Planner: We invite you to introduce yourself to our Miraval Advising team by taking a brief interactive survey at www.mymiraval.com. Your results will help us personalize your Miraval experience and will direct you to a list of recommended activities based on your preferences and reasons for coming to Miraval. Pre-booking Your Appointments: We recommend that you reserve all appointments at least 3 weeks in advance of your stay. Our Miraval Advisors are available to answer all your questions. You can reach them by phone at 800.232.3969 Monday-Friday from 7am to 6pm and Saturday-Sunday from 8am to 5pm. Note: These hours are based on Arizona time. You can also reach the team via email at miravalprebook@miravalresorts.com.

In addition to booking appointments, your Miraval Advisor can make recommendations based on specific needs or answer questions regarding any treatment or consultation. Most of our classes and lectures are complimentary and open to all. Some of our classes, for which a fee applies, require you to add them to your itinerary in advance.

Please be sure to alert your Miraval Advisor to any health conditions or if you are pregnant, as not all activities and services may be appropriate.

Using Your Resort Credit: Miraval offers more than 90 different complimentary activities and classes to choose from every week. Plus, you may apply your nightly resort credit toward more than 175 fee-based experiences, including activities, workshops, spa services, private sessions, and private groups. If your all-inclusive package includes a nightly resort credit, you may apply it toward any fee-based offering that is notated with an RC symbol. Fee-based offerings without an RC symbol will be an additional cost to your stay package.

Set Aside Time for Yourself: Finally, we recommend that you don’t overschedule yourself. Remember to set aside some of your time for personal reflection – take a walk through the Labyrinth, sit by the Kiva, lie by the pool, or lounge in the Quiet Room in our Life in Balance Spa. The self-discovery process is the best part of the journey!

Complimentary shuttles are offered for the Tucson International Airport, however private car service and Phoenix shuttles can be arranged with advance notice for an additional fee. If you are driving in, complimentary valet parking is provided, but kindly let our Bell Staff know what time you plan to arrive so they may expedite your check-in.

Our bell staff will deliver your bags to your room when ready.

PRIVACY AND PHOTOGRAPHY

For privacy please ensure that your camera is not focused in the direction of other guests. We encourage photography of the beautiful landscapes, wildlife and views.

SMOKING

Miraval is a smoke-free environment and we ask that you refrain from smoking in your guest room and all public areas. A fee of $375 will be assessed to remove smoke odor found in guest rooms.

SPA NOTES

Hours: The Spa is open 9 am to 10 pm

Health & Safety: We strongly discourage alcohol consumption prior to Spa treatments, immediate sun exposure following skin care services, and shaving before or after exfoliating treatments.

Arrival Time: Please arrive at the Spa at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled service. This will allow you time to check in, shower, change into Spa attire, and relax before your therapist greets you. Please note that services for late arrivals will end at the scheduled time.

Atmosphere: In order to preserve tranquility, the Spa is a cell phone-, alcohol-, and smoke-free environment. We also ask that you speak quietly while in the Spa.

During Your Treatment: We want you to have time to focus on yourself and your needs, so it is not necessary to engage in conversation with your therapist. However, please do not hesitate to talk with your therapist regarding room temperature, music selection, pressure and technique to ensure your overall comfort.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Do you have allergies or special dietary needs (feathers, gluten free, nuts)?You can convey your special requests to a Miraval Advisor in advance to guarantee your needs are arranged. Please confirm the arrangements at check in.

TAXES & RESORT FEES

All-inclusive package rates are exclusive of a 20% resort amenity fee and applicable taxes of approximately 15%. Personal services scheduled in addition to those applied to your nightly resort credit are not subject to the resort amenity fee and applicable taxes.

TEEN ACTIVITIES & SPA SERVICES

For liability reasons, to insure the safety of all our guests, and because some class material is not appropriate for this age group, we offer limited programming to guests who are under 18. Miraval expects teenage guests to conduct themselves in a respectful manner while on property so as not to disrupt the mindful atmosphere that we create for all our guests. Miraval reserves the right to allow or refuse participation in these and other experiences on a case-by-case basis.

In the spa, teen guests under 18 must have their treatments with a same gender provider, wear undergarments for their massages and facials, and wear a bathing suit for body treatments unless yoga/fitness attire is recommended in the service description

WEATHER

Tucson is the sunniest city in the United States with an average of more than 350 days of sunshine every year. Tucson days are warm and sunny, and nights are cool and comfortable. Our mild temperatures during spring, fall and winter are legendary. While temperatures rise in the summer, low humidity keeps even the warmest days enjoyable. While Tucson is located in the Sonoran Desert, the landscape is surprisingly lush. WHAT TO PACK

Arizona is known for its warm sunny days year round with a blanket of coolness in the desert morning and evenings. For maximum comfort we suggest layers of athletic or yoga wear during your day. Evening dining is resort casual and a light wrap or fleece for the cooler desert evening is suggested. All equestrian activities require long pants and closed toed shoes. Challenge activities require tennis shoes. Spa services such as Aqua Zen require a swimsuit and other services such as Thai massage require loose comfortable clothing. It is recommended you bring the following items: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, yoga wear, workout clothing, swimsuit, running and hiking shoes, camera and journal. Check current weather conditions prior to arrival to pack accordingly.
