Pre-Arrival Information

When and How to Book Spa Treatments & Private Sessions

Miraval recommends that you reserve appointments at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of your stay. Spa treatments and private consultations may be requested online or by calling your Miraval Advisor at 800.232.3969. In addition to booking appointments, your Miraval Advisor can make recommendations based on specific needs or answer questions regarding any treatment or consultation.

Airport Transportation

Miraval provides complimentary transportation between the property and the Tucson International Airport (approximately 50 minutes). Arrival information must be provided to Guest Services no later than 72 hours prior to arrival. The last complimentary shuttle of the day departs the resort property at 2pm each day.

Payment & Cancellation Procedures

Miraval offers full refunds if cancellation is received at least 7 days prior to reservation arrival date. Any cancellation occurring 7 days or fewer prior to arrival, the deposit is forfeited. Special events, workshops and groups may have different cancellation policies.

Upon Arrival

Upon arrival at Tucson International Airport your driver will meet you at the baggage claim carousel. Notice of delayed flights should be relayed to Miraval to ensure a complimentary shuttle can be rescheduled.
Once on the grounds you will be given an extensive orientation to the property. Please plan for an additional 40 minutes upon check-in.
Due to airport delays we highly recommend that you do not schedule any treatments or consults within the first four hours of expected arrival. Should you not cancel four hours in advance of a confirmed appointment a full charge will be assessed to your account.

Program & Spa Offerings

Once on property, program offerings that require sign up may be secured. Miraval offers hundreds of programming opportunities in the areas of fitness, equine, hiking, biking, rock climbing, yoga, meditation, outdoor adventure and challenge, cooking classes, nutrition, wellness, art and photography. We suggest that you stay mindful during your journey and not over schedule especially during your first day.

What to Pack

Arizona is known for its warm sunny days year round with a blanket of coolness in the desert morning and evenings. For maximum comfort we suggest layers of athletic wear during your day. Evening dining is resort casual and again a light wrap or fleece for the desert evening is suggested. A complete boutique is available on property for purchase of all types of athletic, yoga, fitness apparel and resort wear.

Water

Arrive hydrated and stay hydrated. We provide water stations throughout the resort and bottled water within your guest room. More water than usual may be required when residing in the Sonoran desert.

Dietary Requests

Dietary requirements and and other sensitivities should be conveyed to a Miraval Advisor in advance of arrival and confirmed at check in.

Check-In

During high demand, our check-in time is 3pm.

Departure Day Planning

The last shuttle to Tucson International Airport departs the property at 2pm, please plan accordingly. If you have arranged to remain on property past this hour private transportation may be arranged through Guest Relation or the Transportation Department. A one way trip to Tucson Airport is approx. 1 hour

Check out time is 11am and we would be glad to store your bags should you wish to remain on property until 2pm.

What to Bring

Miraval Arizona recommends you bring the following items: sunscreen, hat, yoga wear, workout clothing, swimsuit, running and hiking shoes, camera, journal, full length pants (required for any equestrian event).

Appropriate Attire

Miraval Arizona is a casual environment. Even in the dining room most guests are comfortable in casual attire or even yoga wear or fitness clothing. Please note that all equestrian activities require long pants and closed toed shoes.

How to Sign-Up for Activities

Complimentary Activities

Each day, we select a healthy variety of programming from our extensive list of experiences so you should come prepared to be pleasantly surprised. Some of these activities require signup ahead of time due to limited space but many classes and programs are complimentary and open to anyone who wants to participate. When reviewing the Monthly Experience Guide, you will note that some programs are shaded in the schedule. The shaded experiences are the ones that require signup. Once you arrive on property, the classes that require signup are posted on the Palm Court bulletin board. Explore the menu of Activities.

Activities With Extra Fee

Although the majority of our activities and classes are included in the cost of your overnight stay, there are some classes/workshops that require an extra fee. Your nightly resort credit can be used toward many of these activities. Activities with an RC symbol next to the price indicate that your nightly resort credit may be used toward that experience.

Private Sessions

Our Miraval Specialists are available for one-on-one consultations to address your goals, needs, and desires. Our guests tell us that the staff and specialists are the heart of Miraval - and we tend to agree. You may use your nightly resort credit toward many Private Sessions. Private Sessions with an RC symbol next to the price indicate that your nightly resort credit may be used toward that experience.

For maximum availability, we recommend booking your spa services at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival. Resort Policies

All-inclusive package rates are per person per night of stay. Package Rates are subject to change without notice and based on availability until under deposit. All-inclusive package rates are exclusive of a 20% resort amenity fee and applicable taxes of approximately 15%. Personal services scheduled in addition to those applied to your nightly resort credit are not subject to the 20% resort amenity fee and applicable taxes.

Miraval is a cell phone free experience. We have designated a variety of specified areas throughout the resort, including your guest room and patio, where you may use your phone.

Miraval is a non-tipping resort property.

Who should come to Miraval?

Miraval welcomes guests of 14 years of age and older. Guests ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
