Brent Baum brings his expertise to Miraval as an internationally recognized trauma specialist, international lecturer and author with over 15 years of experience working with trauma survivors from various walks of life. By healing the memories that induce emotional and physical blockages, it is possible to resolve disease, depression, compulsivity, pain and anxiety at their source. This gifted therapist and teacher created Holographic Memory Resolution® (HMR®) to teach trauma survivors tools to access their memory and resolve emotions often associated with traumatic events.
This truly innovative experience includes energy work and guided visualization techniques that assist in the self-healing process in order to reveal the history of a problem, pattern or illness, promoting positive change to the mind, body and spirit. Understanding the human body to be a system of coordinated energy patterns in continual motion, Brent views diseases as more than treating symptoms and is dedicated to helping achieve balance.
Brent received his degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX, and continued his post-graduate work for six years in Theology at the Gregorian University where he received his Masters of Divinity degree and PH.D Equivalent (SSL) in Rome and Jerusalem. As a certified addictions counselor and clinical hypnotherapist, Brent specializes in relapse prevention and trauma resolution.
Between his private practice and clinical involvement, Brent has worked with over 13,000 trauma survivors, including rescue personnel from the Oklahoma City bombing, senior staff from the TWA flight 800 in New York and many survivors of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Brent travels throughout the world providing workshops, training and lectures on new and innovative strategies for resolving trauma. His book, The Healing Dimensions, chronicles his discovery of the principles of HMR and trauma survivors whose experiences paved the way for these revolutionary breakthroughs. Residing in Tucson, AZ for over 14 years, Brent takes interest in Native American and Eastern archaeology, camping and meditation.
