SAFETY & SANITATION PROTOCOLS

Miraval has been establishing new safety measures and protocols in collaboration with leading health and sanitation experts. Every decision, new process, and the procedure has been made with the safety of our guests and colleagues top of mind.

The Miraval experience has always been about choice and meeting you where you are. We want you to have as much information available as possible as you make your Miraval reservation and craft your itinerary. Some things will look different, but the core experience will remain the same. To start, all wellness activities will require advanced sign-up to ensure physical distancing and proper sanitation between classes.

Masks will be required in certain areas. Housekeeping will only be available upon request. To learn more about what to expect during your stay, click here.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Miraval welcomes guests who are 18 years of age or older.

MIRAVAL MODE

Cellphone and digital device policy: MIRAVAL IS A DIGITAL DEVICE-FREE PROPERTY. Mindfulness is the core of the Miraval philosophy. In everything we do, we encourage our guests to live in the present moment, conscious of the unique intersection of mind, body, and spirit. In order to foster a tranquil environment for all our guests, please understand and adhere to “Miraval Mode” during your visit with us.

MIRAVAL MODE is allowing yourself to unplug and be present. Miraval guests are required to unplug from all digital devices, including your cellphone, e-readers, tablets, and focus on living in the present moment and being aware of your surroundings. Leave your phone in your cell phone sleeping bag your receive at check-in, place it in its cell phone “bed” and enjoy living in the now. We understand that you may want to capture your experience on your phone camera, please do, but be mindful of the other guests on the property. If you do need to use your digital device outside of your room, we will show you the designated areas on the property where device usage is permitted.

During your visit, you may notice some of our colleagues on cellular devices – rest assured this is our means for taking care of our guest’s needs and maintaining our beautiful property.

Also, in consideration of those around you, please refrain from using digital devices to take notes in lectures/workshops. Complimentary notepads and pens are provided for your convenience.

“I understand that I may be approached by a Miraval staff member to terminate cell phone usage in areas not designated for digital devices. I will be mindful of guests around me when using it in designated cell phone areas.”

 

WHAT TO PACK

Arizona is known for its warm sunny days year-round with a blanket of coolness in the desert morning and evenings. For maximum comfort, we suggest layers of athletic or yoga wear during your day. Evening dining is resort casual and a light wrap or fleece for the cooler desert evening is suggested.

All equestrian activities require long pants and closed-toed shoes. Challenge activities require tennis shoes. Spa services such as Aqua Zen require a swimsuit and other services such as Thai massage require loose comfortable clothing.

It is recommended you bring the following items: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, yoga wear, workout clothing, swimsuit, running and hiking shoes, camera, and journal. Check current weather conditions prior to arrival to pack accordingly.

 

RESORT CREDITS

If your package includes resort credits, you may apply them toward any fee-based experience during your Miraval visit. Resort credits can be used for spa services, private sessions, and classes and activities that have fees. These credits cannot be transferred between guests or toward future visits, toward purchases in the restaurant/bar, property boutiques, Spa Retail, online store, or toward tuition fees for Miraval immersions. SCHEDULING ACTIVITIES, PRIVATE SESSIONS, & SPA SERVICES

For maximum availability, we recommend that you schedule your activities, private sessions, and spa services at least 6-8 weeks in advance of your stay. Our Miraval Advisors are available to answer all of your questions 7 days a week.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check-in time is 3 pm but guests may arrive on the property as early as 11 am. Lunch is included and opens at 11:30 am. Upon check-in, you will be given an orientation and tour of the property.

Check-out time is 11 am and we would be glad to store your luggage at Guest Services should you wish to remain on the property until 2 pm. Lunch is included on the day of departure with meal service starting at 11:30 am. Late check-out is based on availability.

 

GRATUITIES & TIPPING

Miraval is a non-tipping resort property. We believe a “no tipping” policy is essential to a mindful guest experience. Once you arrive at Miraval, a friendly “thank you” or note on a guest comment card is the best tip you can give and the only one we allow.

 

PETS

As much as we love pets at Miraval, there is a no pets policy on our property. We can refer you to a great local pet boarding home for the duration of your stay. Service animals* are the only pets allowed on the property and must be under control and on a leash at all times when outside your guest room. Guests who require service animals must inform a Miraval Advisor that they are bringing a service animal prior to arrival.

*Under the ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. Guests may be asked what work or tasks the animal has been trained to perform. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.*

 

SMOKING

Miraval is a smoke-free environment and we ask that you refrain from smoking in your guest room and all public areas. A fee of $375 will be assessed to remove the smoke odor found in guest rooms. Villa rentals may be more. As the safety and efficacy of e-cigarettes have not been fully studied, this policy applies to e-cigarettes as well.

 

GUESTS PER ROOM

Miraval rooms and suites can accommodate two guests maximum per room. Explore our suite options for groups of three or more.

 

ALL PACKAGES INCLUDE

  • Unlimited participation in complimentary daily yoga, fitness, meditation, and wellness lectures, outback nature walks, photography classes, and outdoor adventure activities.
  • Luxurious accommodations.
  • All healthful and flavorful meals, snacks, smoothies, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Complimentary shared shuttle transfers or valet parking for those driving in.
  • Full access to Miraval’s extensive resort amenities, including The Body Mindfulness Center and Life in Balance Spa.

 

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

An advance deposit of 50% of your total stay package is required to guarantee your reservation.
We are extending a flexible cancellation policy and not forfeiting deposits up to 8 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival will forfeit deposits.

 

TAXES & RESORT FEES

Package rates are exclusive of a 23% resort charge and applicable taxes of approximately 15%. Your resort charge includes access to over 120 weekly wellbeing offerings, full access to our 3 luxury pools, Body Mindfulness Center, and Wi-Fi. All fee-based classes, workshops, and programming will be taxed at 6%. Retail purchases, a la carte food, and beverage purchases, and other services scheduled in addition to what is included in your package are subject to applicable taxes.
