8 LIMBS OF YOGA

The 8-limbs of yoga as outlined in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, offer a holistic path towards inner peace and spiritual liberation. These limbs form a sacred map for living with presence, integrity and connection. Join us for this deep discussion about the inner workings of most post-modern approaches to life.

INTRODUCTION TO MANTRA

Mantra is the practice of repeating sacred sounds, words or phrases to focus the mind, open the heart, and connect with a deeper state of consciousness. In our time together well will explore the traditions of mantra and work with different sets of mantra to calm the nervous system and create a sense of connection to self and to all.

INTRODUCTION TO MANTRA JOURNEY OF AWAKENING

This workshop will focus on deepening one’s understanding of the multiple aspects of Mindfulness Meditation. Whether you are a beginner or have an established practice, this will be an opportunity to begin a meditation practice as well as strengthen and nourish an established practice.

THE YAMAS & NIYAMAS

The Yamas and Niyamas are the foundational ethical guidelines in the yogic tradition, offering a framework for living a life of integrity and self-awareness. They invite us into a more conscious, compassionate and intentional way of being. This discussion-based class will include journal prompts and time for self-reflection.

AQUA YOGA

Experience the postures and principles of yoga, including breathing and mindfulness while experiencing the benefits of water. This is a gentle, and restorative way to appreciate what your body can do when experiencing the comfort of being in a pool.

SOMATIC DANCE

This mindful movement practice invites you to explore the body, mind and spirit from within, deepening awareness, presence, and emotional expression through guided and intuitive movement. Suitable for all bodies that wish to move.

SOMATIC YOGA

Somatic Yoga is a gentle, embodied practice that blend traditional yoga practices with somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation and a deep inner connection. Somatic yoga is especially supportive of trauma recovery, stress reduction and reconnecting with the body in a compassionate and loving way. Suitable to all levels.

UNDERSTANDING THE PSOAS

Take a journey to one of deepest and mysterious muscles in your body. Explore the psoas muscles connection to breathing, nervous system regulation, and hip flexion and extension.

RECOVERY YOGA FOR ACTIVE PEOPLE

Slow down and explore the key muscles that help you run, walk, or jump through self-release and yoga stretches. Let this class bring balance to muscle imbalances stirred by your active lifestyle.
