Matcha & Almond Milk Latte

This recipe is a wonderful vegan alternative to a typical latte. It has many nutritional benefits with the antioxidants in green tea and honey and is comforting on a cold Berkshire day. It’s the perfect drink to prepare for someone you care about and just what I would like to sit down and enjoy with my partner while watching the snow come down.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 min
Servings: 2
Tools: Small pot, whisk, and hand blender

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. matcha powder
  • 1 tbsp. hot water
  • 1/4 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1.5 tsp. honey

Directions:

  1. Combine every ingredient in a small pot, except the matcha and water, and bring to a simmer.
  2. While coming up to heat, whisk together the matcha and water in a small bowl.
  3. Pour hot milk over matcha and froth with a small hand blender or latte wand.
  4. Pour in cups and enjoy.
